In this video, we explore the harrowing reality faced by the Dalit community in Gujarat, particularly in Kutch. Despite government efforts dating back to 1983-84 to allocate surplus land to Dalits under the Gujarat Agricultural Land Ceiling Act, high-caste individuals have maintained control over this land through encroachment and bureaucratic red tape. As Dalits fight for their rights, they often face violence, with several reported killings linked to their struggle for land ownership.
